There is an irreversible change happening in corporate banks. It produces new kinds of services for the customers and enables new ways of collaboration with fintechs, startups and any other players in the digital industry. Above all, it requires banks to open up. If you reduce this change solely to PSD2, you are going to miss its true potential. This change should not be driven by regulation but by opportunity. At Deutsche Bank, they took the chance. Initiated by the bank’s technology department, a small team started a cultural change when they began thinking IT from a customer perspective. That was the first step towards open banking and towards turning bank IT into a business model. In this session, the Deutsche Bank API team wants to share its learnings, its vision and its point of view on open banking.
