The newly minted PCI Standard for software-based PIN entry on commercial off-the-shelf devices promises to expand card acceptance and lower costs. Long-known for expanding financial inclusion for small businesses using technical innovations, Square is an early adopter of this new technology, using it for PIN acceptance in a number of markets including the UK.
