Pete leads the UBS Innovation team based at the Level 39 technology accelerator in London, with a focus on blockchain and RegTech. He is a passionate technologist with a background in engineering and industry domain knowledge from over two decades working in Financial Services in a variety of technology roles in Europe and Asia. Pete spent nine years in Hong Kong, where most recently he was the UBS Regulatory and APAC CTO. Pete’s early career had a deep focus on capital markets post-trade technology and agile software delivery. Prior to UBS, he worked as a technology consultant for IBM and PwC. He holds a Masters in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Leeds. In his spare time, Pete enjoys coaching and trail running off the beaten track from the hills of Hong Kong, across the deserts of Mongolia to the rolling downs of England.
