Luke Weston is a senior manager with Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role Luke has been helping global financial institutions transform their businesses through the use of AWS for more than 2 years. This involves transformation of their legacy technology environments and helping these organisations change their ways of work for improved productivity and customer/client centricity. He joined AWS from Barclays Africa where he spent 10 years helping low income African consumers get access to financial services. This involved everything from physical branch roll-out in various innovative formats, building customer sales & support field teams, rolling out self-service devices, and working on mobile and digital propositions for these rapidly growing consumer markets. Luke has a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (Hons) from the University of Cape Town. When not working hiking, golf and cycling occupy his time.
