Mung Ki Woo is SVP Digital for B2B Customers and New Business Models. He reports to Yves Tyrode, who is Chief Digital Officer and a member of the General Management Committee of Group BPCE.

Mung Ki Woo is an accomplished global executive, with a career in information technologies and digital services. Until summer 2017, he was based in the US and served as the Chief Officer for global partnerships and international operations at Omnyway, a US West Coast start-up specialized in digital contextual commerce. From 2011 to 2016, he was EVP of Mobile and then Digital Platforms at MasterCard, playing a key role in the company’s digital transformation. He led the definition, development and commercialization of MasterCard’s global digital products and solutions, in particular the tokenization services used in Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay. He drove multiple strategic partnerships and was a member of the board of several companies.

From 2005 to 2011, he was VP Electronic Payments & Transactions at Orange, one of the largest multi-national telecommunication operators in the world. There, he created from scratch and launched the “Orange Money” mobile payment program in Africa and the Middle East, one of the most successful mobile payment services in emerging markets. Mung Ki also led the commercial deployment of Orange’s mobile payment services in their major European markets.

Previously, Mung Ki was Chief Technical Officer of a French interbank organization specialized in electronic money systems. Before that, he managed a consulting practice at Devoteam, a French IT firm. He started his career in 1995 at Thales in the UK, working on large defence communication programs for the British armed forces.

Mung Ki holds Master’s degrees of Ecole Polytechnique (1993) and Telecom ParisTech (1995).
