Nick leads the FCA's RegTech initiatives (including its TechSprints, the first hackathon-style innovation events led by a financial services regulator). Nick also leads the creation of an Analytics Centre of Excellence to drive the organisation's use of data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence. He represents the FCA on the European Securities and Markets Authority's (ESMA) Financial Innovation Standing Committee and is an advisor to the RegTech for Regulators Accelerator Programme. He is a Certified Chartered Accountant with 9 years forensic investigative experience at the FSA and KPMG.
