Pietro Sella is the CEO of Sella, a private and independent financial group operating in retail and
commercial banking, private wealth management, finance and payment systems since 1886.

Sella has a history of more than a century of innovation and entrepreneurship. It has repeatedly created
pioneering and successful solutions: Hype, the challenger bank with 200,000 users; Axerve e-commerce solutions, the payment gateway, market leader in Italy and operating in 15 different countries; Axerve offer of services in electronic payment systems, of which Sella is one of the Italian leaders.

Today Sella is renowned for the revision of its business model, that finds inspiration in the rules of the new
fintech ecosystem. It is currently launching innovative payment systems and the first API open banking
platform in Italy.

Pietro is leading the Group towards the next step of banking as the chairman of the Sella Open Banking
project, whose ambition is to enable customers’ new growth models, to enable compliance in a simple and
fast way, and to allow access to a wide ecosystem of quality services in order to cater to customers’ needs
with the best possible cost-value ratio.

Sella Open Banking project fosters collaboration among banks and among the best talents in order to build
new products and value-adding services, reducing time-to-market and enabling the network effect.
In 2017 Sella was promoter of the Fintech District, the first Italian fintech community based in Milan.
Pietro is also chairman of Endeavor Italy, a non profit organization that promotes impact entrepreneurship
worldwide.
