Xiaodong has an extensive experience and footprint in FinTech and in payment industry. For the past 10 years Xiaodong has been involved in the forefront of innovations in energy and payment industry, having extensive working experience in topics such as mobile and cloud based payments, PSD2, open banking, blockchain, smart metering, omnichannel acquiring strategy, mobility as a service etc. He has been working with various projects around the world in different parts of value chain from issuing and acquiring bank, payment networks, FinTechs, as well as government agencies. Currently Xiaodong is working as product manager in Payplaza, responsible for the strategy, as well as the road map for this FinTech company to become a front runner in the next generation payment facilitation and all in one payment solution provider for merchants. Before joining Payplaza, Xiaodong was working as lead principal advisor for the transaction security division of UL, responsible for UL’s offering on advisory services linked to the payment industry, and supporting customers in various sectors such as banking and transit. As a Chinese national living in Europe for 10 years, Xiaodong is fascinated by the cross culture experience and is interested in observing this in all aspects of societies.
