Masaki Yokawa, SVP Brand Infrastructure and Technologies, has spent most of his career within the international payments division of JCB. Actively contributing to the continued global expansion of the company, with senior international placements across the globe, throughout this 23-year career at JCB.

His knowledge and engagement in chip and other advanced technologies, has allowed him to develop and grow JCB’s EMV compliant programmes, J/Smart and JCB Contactless. Further, his remit has enabled him to implement these important and strategic initiatives at a global level.

Masaki has had several senior global positions at JCB. Most notably a four-year stint in the USA, where he was responsible for corporate planning and business strategy for that region. Additionally, a five-year assignment at JCB’s headquarters in Tokyo, leading the strategic planning and business development group.

With his extensive knowledge and expertise in the advanced technologies payments sector, as well as his experience with global implementations, Masaki now heads up JCB’s chip and digital payment solutions for global and regional partners.
